This project - ASHA, spread in ten remote villages of Purulia, West Bengal, aims at increasing education level among the less privileged tribal and backward children. It also targets to reduce dropouts among the children by building a bridge between weak elementary education infrastructure and secondary education in thislocality. Some of the project's achievements include facilitating education for children from low-income families in crèches, enlightening parents on child rights and youth-training programs for type-writing and shorthand.
